If you watched the news at all last week, you probably already know that Ruidoso was flooding and that 300+ people were evacuated. Thank you to those of you who asked about my family--luckily they were well out of danger because of where their houses are. (Mom and Dad are in Alto, and Paul and Amanda live on a hill so the water wasn't a problem for them.) Most of the bridges are going to have to be re-built as the rain washed them out. Here are a few pictures from the river that runs near my parents house. Usually it isn't much more than a stream, but you can tell here that the water is rushing (you can't see the road beneath it if that tells you anything about how much water there is.) Thanks for the prayers!
