Second Pregnancy: Week 4

Second Pregnancy :: Week 4
We found out on December 7th, 2013 that we are adding to the Fletcher Clan! I used a paper journal with Lucas but decided to try something new with this one.
Age of baby #1:
4 years, 7 months (they will be about 5.25 years apart.)
How far along?

4 weeks
How big is baby?
A Poppy Seed! Sooooo small!

From The Bump: In week 4, now safe in your womb, the ball of cells (blastocyst) splits in two, becoming the embryo and the placenta. The amniotic sac and fluid are forming around baby, and will act as a cushion for the next eight months.

Pre-pregnancy Weight:
168.4
Total weight gain:
0 lbs.
Maternity clothes:
Not yet, but I did get them out. I wore the sleep bra last night because it was, um, necessary already...
Stretch marks:
Only the ones that I got last time!
Belly button:
Innie
Sleep:
I’ve been waking up a lot at night. Sometimes because I’m nervous and often because I can’t get my mind to stop.
Best moment of the week:
Seeing the positive pregnancy test, and then seeing and hearing Jesse’s reaction when he realized what it was! (Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit...)
Food cravings:
None yet
Food aversions:
None yet.
Symptoms:
Sore breasts, a little heartburn, but mostly just tired. I am already starting to feel the queasies though and nearly threw up a few bites of breakfast burrito.
Movement:
None.
Gender:
Too early!
What I’m looking forward to:
Calling Dr. Roberts and making our first appointment. Telling everyone!
Our first doctor’s appointment and telling our friends and family (and eventually, posting these early posts!)
What I’m nervous about:
How Lucas will react to a new baby and whether or not he’ll understand any of what is going on. I’m worried about how we will afford a second child, especially with all the foundation/plumbing issues.)
What I miss:
Beer
Next appointment:

I don’t have one yet!

Comparison to Pregnancy #1:

I don’t think I knew I was pregnant at this point in my pregnancy with Lucas.
