Second Pregnancy: Week 5

Second Pregnancy :: Week 5

How far along?
5 weeks
How big is baby?
An appleseed.
From The Bump: Your embryo (looking kind of like a tadpole) is starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of hCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests)... which triggers production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone... which trigger all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing!

Weight this week:
170.6
Total weight gain:
2.2 lbs.
Maternity clothes:
I started using my belly band. My pants are already feeling too tight!
Stretch marks:
Only the ones that I got last time!
Belly button:
Innie
Sleep:
Sleeping pretty solidly.
Best moment of the week:
Telling Rhonda and Megan that I was pregnant.
Food cravings:
Ice Water. I can’t get enough!
Food aversions:
I’ve had a few moments where I tried to eat something and had to stop (a breakfast burrito almost made me hurl.)
Symptoms:
Mild nausea, and I’m feeling pretty tired. Sore boobies!
Movement:
None.
Gender:
Too early!
What I’m looking forward to:
Telling everyone :) And going to our first appointment--it is not until January 6th.
What I’m nervous about:
Nothing this week!
What I miss:
Beer
Next appointment:
January 6th
Comparison to Pregnancy #1:
