Gable Willow--Four Months Old!

Hi Mommy!

It hardly seems like four whole months have gone by since I gave birth to you. And its been almost 2 months since we moved into the new house! (If you'll recall, we moved in the day of your 2 month checkup.) Its been long enough now that when we ask your brother "What is sister's name?" he knows that you are Gable. :) Or if we point to you and ask him who you are, he'll say "Sister" or "Its Gable."

We've probably seen you transform more this month than any months prior. You are becoming so much more interactive and chatty. You respond and react to us and to your surroundings now and are getting quite good at letting us know when you need something.

Here are some things that we have observed and enjoyed learning about you this month:

*You talk with your eyebrows and you smile with your WHOLE face.

*You have figured out how to make "zerberts" with your lips and you make a lot of spit bubbles and farty noises with your mouth.

*Speaking of farts, you can be a tootie baby! I laughed the other day when you sneezed and tooted at the same time!

*You and daddy like to have long conversations of "oohs" and "aahs" and "squeaks." Your face is so animated and you really get into the conversation.

***MILESTONE*** You laughed for the first time! Papa was the one who made you laugh--they were here for Thanksgiving and November 26th he was kind of swinging you up and down and you started laughing at him!!

*Your head control is good enough now that we can put you in the Bumbo chair and you can sit quite happily for a few minutes at a time.

*You LOVE tummy time and often prefer to be on your tummy when you are fussy.

*You are filling out and stretching out! At your 4 month checkup, you weighed 14.8 pounds and have stretched to 25.5 inches long! You are amazingly strong and healthy and have the cheeks to show for it!

*You are also cutting teeth and are drooling like crazy. You constantly have your hand, a teething ring, a toy or a burp cloth in your mouth. You haven't been too miserable but I can tell you are uncomfortable while I'm nursing you and sometimes they annoy you enough to wake you up.

*You celebrated your first Thanksgiving with all the Berger clan. Honey, Papa, Uncle Paul, Aunt Amanda, and your cousins Devlin and Evy. This was the first time your Uncle and Aunt and cousins have gotten to meet you!

Here are a few things that has happened since last month:

You added "eyebrows" to your expressions.

It was just too much for you to stay awake while Mommy was cleaning.

You slept in my arms.

The weather turned cold enough for you to look like the kid from A Christmas Story!

You really weren't sure what to think about the fluffy thing.

You attended the HOA meeting with your family. It was riveting.

You made it hard to take just one pic of you because you make so many faces!

You visited Dr. Roberts when Mommy had her appointment.

You grew! Look at those rolls and cheeks! Love them!!

You smile with your whole face!

You cried your first real baby tears. It was awful.

Papa became extremely entertaining. You loved it!

You and Honey did some reading together and found some new cookie recipes.

You met your Uncle Paul.

Devlin and Evy thought you were fascinating.

Aunt Amanda was so happy to meet you!

Papa made you laugh. It was the best sound ever!

You looked adorable in your Turkey Dress.

Honey got to snuggle you. A LOT.

You realized you are related to "these people." :)

You'll smile at the camera now (especially when you see Mommy!)

You watched The Pioneer Woman with Mommy.

Those darn teefers started coming in and are making you very drooly and a bit cranky.
You had lots of chats with Daddy.

You discovered your reflection and found yourself to be quite adorable.

You've learned to cuddle your car toy.

You snuggled your hairy-faced Daddy and made him fall in love with you all over again.

Zerberts!

Look at you sitting like a big girl!!

Bumbo Baby!
You met The Big Guy.
